Disney + Star Wars shows

It is safe to say Mandalorian is doing well, given Disney is going all in on Star Wars on Disney + shows

--------------------------

https://www.starwars.com/news/future...jects-revealed

- Rouge Squadron

- Obi-Wan Kenobi

- Ahsoka

- Rangers of the New Republic

- Lando

- Andor

- The Acolyte

- The Bad Batch

- Visions

- A Droid Story

------------------------

With all this feels like Disney is throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks. I'm really excited for Ahsoka, but be curious with all the others too. Big questions is time line of rolling these all out. Be years before see these all on the screen. Anyone curious about these?

Obi-Wan is easily my most anticipated show. I need that to be good. If any of the others are good as well that’s just gravy for me.

My sights are on The Acolyte, "a mystery-thriller that will take the audience into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark side powers in the final days of the High Republic era." This show is being run by Leslye Headland (Russian Dall), who was the one tapped to helm a "female-centric" show.

So, this is about a female falling towards the dark side 100 years (roughly) before EP1.

Yep, count me in!

I think Rogue Squadron is actually a movie and the rest are tv shows. Still, a lot of meat here for the next 3-4 years of Disney + tv.

Patty Jenkins is running that one. Gives me hope.

Several of those look interesting. I am drawn to Rogue One and Obi more than the others but they all sound interesting.

I fear it's too much. Something has to suck, I just hope it's not Obi-Wan and Ahsoka.

Has anybody heard if Disney+ is going to be using the same format as Netflix for their original content? As in, 4-5 seasons tops and then ending to make sure it ends on top? I believe Netflix really has something going with that because the show stays good, fresh, and you can get more new content into your life.

Sorry, you are correct. I missed that as thought it was all Disney + stuff.

I think many of these will be limited series so Obi Wan or Andor could be 8 episodes and that is it. Essentially a long movie rather than an ongoing series.

My guess is Ahsoka and Rangers will be "Filoni-verse" in with Mandalorian and have cross overs.

Disney just announced that they will be making more stories with the original "Solo" cast for a streaming series...
