"Hollywood Horror"

Just finished this book, "Hollywood Horror: From Gothic to Cosmic" by Mark A. Vieira, and for anyone who's a fan of horror movies and looking for an analysis of the genre from the silent movies through the late 1960s, ending with Night of the Living Dead but before The Exorcist (why the cut-off here? I'm not sure), this is your book! It's filled with demographic and social trend analysis that drove the creation of these films, tons of interviews with famous producers, directors, writers, special effects guys, and stars, and loaded with incredible photos...some of which I've never seen. It's almost like a text book on horror films.

It's a coffee table size book that's great reading. Like I said, if you're a fan of these films it should be must reading.
