Goin' down to da Mardi Gras
Anyone with in driving distance should go to Mardi Gras. I was down there on Frday and Saturday and had a great time. It just as fun as the last 10 years that I have gone but maybe even more so because Bourbon street is not packed like sardines. Check it out if you can make it and help out the N.O.

The best Mardi Gras I ever attended was in 2002. Low attendance, due to all kinds of sabotage rumors after 9/11, but still fun. And when I say "low", the streets were still full, just no danger of getting crushed like some years. I've been caught in some shoulder-to-shoulder mobs on Bourbon Street where I seriously feared for my life. One misstep, and you're toast.
