I didn't know there were two motherboxes either. The colorful one is pretty nice.

I have to admit that it boggles my mind just a little bit that such an impressive statue, all the switch outs, a main villain for Superman, at such a price point... even though he's "1/6"... I just can't believe they could only sell 165 of them.

For all those people crying that they aren't making your favorite random 7th tier character in a costume no one recognizes, just stop LOL. If people aren't willing to put down cash for something like this Darkseid, we can't expect TH to go under trying to make us happy with everything we want.

You're telling me there WON'T be a Red Tornado statue in his 1981 costume?! I guess they don't want my money.

Really though, there are a lot of characters suggested because "they would sell." Sure, they might sell 100 or 200 statues, but that's it. Sadly, that probably applies to most of the Superman characters (Krypto doesn't count). Eradicator, Metallo, and Cyborg Superman? Don't see them doing anywhere near Darkseid numbers. Can't make new characters if the company doesn't have any revenue.

Brainiac, a non-boring Luthor, and Doomsday, probably. Maybe Bizarro before XM had announced theirs. Anyone else I have doubts.

Edit: by probably I mean viable not they're on the way

I agree - well said.

Great shots, SD! Nice to get a look at the switch-outs. I also didn't realise there were two motherboxes. I like the shot with Lantern and Starfire - these Tweeterhead statues make for some vibrant displays.

A very small part of me wishes I could've justified the added expense for the EX's composed expression. But it's impossible to be disappointed with either version.
