The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (Formerly "There and Back Again)

It will be released on December 17, 2014 with the same cast as the two previous movies.

I have a feeling that after the Hobbit trilogy ends they will continue to keep milk the Middle Earth cow.

I certainly hope so!!! The stories aren't through yet. I really hope they can find a way to bring the Silmarillion to life on the big screen. Sounds like the Tolkien estate doesn't want that though, so only time will tell if that can happen or not.

The Hobbit: There and Back Again’ may get a title change, as New Line has reportedly registered the title ‘The Hobbit: Into the Fire’.

Tolkien estate is gonna fight that tooth and nail. They more or less stated publicly that the films were a travesty. One can hope though.

Travesty is a little harsh. Disappointing is more appropriate.

Ive read the books and thought that they did a damn impressive job with the enormous task of making it into the trilogy that they did

Yeah I guess I just remember reading the articles and he was very persistent about the fact that he didnt like them among other things. as a whole it just seemed all he did was complain maybe thats just what stood out in my head more than anything.

I think so too. I love the LOTR trilogy but I am still trying to find my footing with the Hobbit.
