The hate went way too far on this one, it destroys the SS version and any previous versions IMO.

I have only seen photos of her so far and still find that the portrait with the short hair has too much color and the other portrait is a copy of XM Dark Phoenix. I also don't understand the rose.
I thought about it for a long time but I just want her.

I don't hate her, I loved the concept, the nods to both her lives is awesome. I disliked the rose, that's the biggest miss to me because it should have been a diamond forming hand with the glove on the floor.

I wanted this for a long time, but couldn't see myself pulling the trigger. As i didn't think it would look good with the rest of my display as her base doesn't match. I really hope that XM or even SS does a diamond form version.

I don't think it exactly destroys the SS version, but it has other things we haven't seen in an Emma statue which are cool.

I own the new SS and I admit, this XM one DESTROYS the SS.
I'm just not willing to pay that much for the Emma character, and the SS base fits more with my X-Men collection.

I can see what you mean about the short hair portrait, but hopefully the makeup won't be so intense once in hand. I saw a video of her and it looked good. I don't own Dark Phoenix so I can't say about the long hair portrait. As for the rose, it would be nice to have had an arm in mid transformation, but I see the rose as a representation of the excesses that she and the Hellfire Club indulged in. Over all I just loved the sculpt and I had to have it, and she blows away anything Sideshow has done in 1/4 scale. The only Emma I have is the 1/5 comiquette from the AH! series.
