Removing glossiness on statue

Hi all.

I'd like to know if it's possible to dull or remove a glossy-like finish on part of a statue.

Most of the flesh-toned parts seem flatter and appear to reflect light in a way that is much closer to that of actual skin. But one arm is a bit more reflective and looks more like slightly wet/sweaty skin in the way the light comes back.

So I'm not sure if there's a way to get that arm to closer match the rest of the skin-painted areas in terms of glossiness, whether through some sort of matte spray or by rubbing the surface with something?

Cheers.

I was looking into Mod Podge to gloss sections of statues that should be shiner. They have a Mod Podge matte that could possibly do the reverse. It's pretty inexpensive to try if you're brave enough to experiment.

Vallejo Mecha Mat Varnish thru a airbrush will matt anything. So if you got a airbrush that wll work. if not you can try and brush it on but will leave brush marks.

Thanks for that, guys. Good to have some product names to go on. I've been toying with idea of getting an airbrush - might be time to bite the bullet and give it a go.

It is very matte. But you need to mix it with a finish. Not sure what would happen if you just brushed it on.
