Well if anything it makes me feel better that I paid $375 for mine including shipping. I was hesitant to pull the trigger even at that price but it really is a nice piece and with the new offerings GG has in store for us I can only see the line's popularity growing.
$999 is insane though. especially when you consider the most this maquette has fetched up to this point is around $700 as far as I know.

Did a lot of people miss out on this or what? When it was offered it didn't seem to sell out that fast, but now I see a lot of posts with people needing it. Why?

They need it because "THE HYPE" has warped their minds.
I personally never bought the piece because it just didn't interest me at the time. I figured I could pick it up later down the line.
It's amazing what Ebay and some insane bidding can do to the value of a $90 statue.

I sold mine months ago for $325 and I thought that was good!
If I had one, it would be on ebay RIGHT NOW. As wook said, you could get an AT-AT for this price!
I cannot believe someone paid a $$$GRAND for this little piece.
