Hot Toys isn't in the business of making statues. They make collectible figures and sometimes prop replicas. Props are often just plastic or rubber. No surprise this one is plastic. I can see an argument for some die-cast considering their Iron Man line uses a decent amount of that material, but that might have made this item too heavy.

Except the original infinity gauntlet was polystone...

They could have continued that with the Nano Gauntlet as well.

Interesting. I wasn't aware that one was polystone.

Still, not sure I agree this one should be polystone. I think I'd prefer some die-cast.

Not sure about the full-scale, but the 1/4 scale are made from injected molded plastic (not vinyl). I have the IW Thanos version and the 1/4 scale EG gauntlets will be articulated which cannot be done with resin.
