Ya i 100 percent agree it is overpriced, but much like doa said it is NOT overated. It can be somewhat confusing to a non hardcore PCS SF fan, including a lot of good friends of mine who are also collectors, but there is a price for rarity, whether it be a regular production piece or an AP...that small edition size,or that piece of paper that says AP on it means a lot to some collectors, and we all know PCS SF fans have some of the DEEPEST pockets out there.

I laugh at anybody who believes the revisits of Ryu and Aluma will make the originals less wanted... Because it won't..

At the end of the day 4K for a used statue is a joke. I understand statues have value but I never look at them as a vintage car or classics quality. Even tho I have the money and if i was a SF fan, I dont see why id pay so much. Ye there are pieces out there Id like to have but if its some insane price, i just move on. Its not like id be passing this down to my kids, prob everything will be sold when im an old man one day lol.

I wanted to know who would pay 4k for this and I managed to find a picture of the buyer right before celebrating getting this statue

I don't know why you guys are taking the piss out of this sale. Yes 4k is a lot of money, but maybe not to the buyer. Did you ever think he could be fully loaded and that 4k to the buyer is pocket change? If I was really rich and really wanted a shin akuma, hell I'd pay 4k to own it, just as long as I was rich. To most of us, spending 4k is a joke, but to some, it isn't. For some, having too much money and seeing others complain is a joke..

Great point. To many people $4k isn't a big deal. There are people who would say the exact same thing about people, like us, that buy $300+ statues. It's all relative. It's a hobby and if you have the disposable income to splurge have at it. Hopefully no one is buying statues when they should be feeding their kids but that's another topic.

Yes, people around me think I am nuts for paying 500 - 1k for a pieces.
Plus as RB mentioned, I am new to this...so I do not really have a connection to any particular sculptor, but if people really dig Jerry's handy work, then future pieces can not recreate that...unless done by Jerry himself.
