I like this new synopsis better than the original one for the sequel. Hopefully the narrative is more sensible than I found Prometheus to be.

yeah they bickered, yeah they were space truckers, but they did their jobs and did their best to not make things worse.

McBride? Is he supposed to be the comic relief? Kills my interest in this movie.

Not sure what to make of this potential casting of McBride.
Perhaps Scott wants to keep things balanced with more light hearted humor?

I doubt he's going to be typical over-the-top McBride. Probably closer to Paxton's Hudson.

I'll reserve judgment until I see the role in which he's being cast. I have a hard time envisioning him being brought in with the intention of being comedic relief.

Considering 99% of his previous roles have centered on comedy, I can't imagine Ridley Scott won't be taping into his comedic talent. I think it's a given...and quite frankly a ballsy move.

All that doesn't mean he can't handle or wouldn't be considered for a dramatic role. I just don't see any room for comedy to be interjected into an ALIEN film outside of a Hudson like character as it would change the tone completely and Scott is way to smart/accomplished to attempt something like that. I'm not worried.
