That looks amazing Alex. I was sorry in a way to hear that this would be your last miniature for a while but happy to know that you will still be painting, just on canvas now.

Have you painted any more on Kull yet?

Kull is finally completed.

Hi Everyone,

Kull is finally completed. This magnificent piece sculptured by Clayburn Moore / MS Moore Studio was quite challenging but well worth the effort. That being said, my apologies to all my friends, fans and collectors for the delay. I am still trying to iron out a publishing date with Action Press, Fantasy Dimensions. I'll keep everyone posted on a publishing date.

On a personal note, I am presently teaching art at a local college and at the Monroe Council for the Arts. I'm also starting to paint on canvas concepts that I've had been kicking around for years that I would like to bring to life.

Enjoy the pictures and please don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions concerning Kull.

Thanks to all of you for joining me in this venture.

Alex

I love your painting style Alex.

I've been preparing to start tackling my own painting projects for a few months now, and back then I decided to emulate your priming style.

I already have my Krylon silver and other stuff you recommend in your great Tutorial thread in the Painting section, and I can hardly wait to get started in a few weeks

Keep up the amazing work!

You managed to make an unbelievable beautiful statue, the favorite of my collection, even more eye appealing. I really like the darkening of Kull's beard. You gave him, for lack of better words, a darker five o'clock shadow which ups the barbarian factor significantly.
Alex, you did amazing work with the eyes. I love it.

The back view and what you've done with the tunic and lizard skin is just amazing. The dynamic of the wind blowing seems even more dramatic. The leather boots seem more worn, more functional.

I love the original, factory paint job on this statue and I've never been more pleased with a statue, ever.
But, I will say this....You have really done an outstanding job. You had a hell of a canvas but you've made your Kull a beautifully unique piece. If I ever win the lottery, I'll simply must have to have this one too.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Extreme close-up "Kull of Atlantis"

Hi all,

It's great to hear from all of you. I really appreciate the kudos, but let’s not forget about Clayburn. Great miniature painting requires great sculpturing. In my opinion, over the years, Clay has produced a steady stream of master works unprecedented in the history of statue/ miniature industry. His most recent work in progress, “Berserker” is just fantastic. Please see his web log.

The attached close-up of Kull I like because for me it captures a certain mood, dark, almost sinister and at the same time distant .

Hope you enjoy him.

Thank you all very much for taking the time to view and comment.

Alex
