These 1:1 busts are about authenticity of MK9 characters, not MK1, MK2, or MK3, or MKWhatILike.
But looking at these pics, I don't think the Shoulderpads need to be there. I think they would start right where the shoulder part is cut off.

This bust has to come with the shoulder pads. His costume design has them very close to his neck. If if comes without them it would just look unfinished in my opinion.

glad you showed that pic...although I have the MK9 Scorpion statue right to the side of me and never thought to look at it to see where the shoulder pads indeed started.

Actually, I just noticed in the pictures Jerry teased that the exact same photo I posted is in the background referance material behind the bust. So Jerry "knows" how close they have to be to his neck and that they should be there.
