Can you paint over faux bronze statues?
Hi, does anybody know if you can paint over the surface of faux bronze statues? I paid for 2 faux bronze fathom statues hoping to convert one to the original colors. Thanks

Wow. That sounds like a big job.
Please do post pics when you're done.

Um...wouldn't it have been cheaper to get the original coloured one off ebay?

Dip that sucker in Acetone and wash away the faux! Then prime and paint away!
Never seen a FB in person so not sure how thick the paint process is, but more layer of paint may loose detail. Just a idea.

If I could paint it myself, I would do the same thing. The original painted versions are pretty high in price. I would have to pay someone to paint it so not a good idea for me.
I'm not a big fan of faux bronze, but bought the Fathom statue because I love it so much and the price point was less than the original.
