river

So it's not going over well then!
Not exactly sure what some of the complaints mean though.
Pose is stiff? It's a pose directly from the movie at the end.
Too man-ish? The arms maybe? They are a bit thick, but this is the prototype and they will shrink in production a bit.
Waiting to get a little more for the $$? It is River and four other full figures.
How exactly is it not a "real statue"?
Looks more like an action figure and "shiny" I don't really understand.
Just curious and playing Devils advocate!

I think it looks alright, and will have to see one in person to decide for sure.

As for "shiny" I don't think Hellcat Lover was talking about the paint.

English in Serenity also has its own slang; for example, where 21st century people might say "neat" or "cool", the characters in Serenity say "shiny".

MadNormiekins,

Yup, we are sometimes quick on the trigger when it comes to sneak peeks. Sure, seeing it in person would make a difference too. However, we've been spoiled and we want to be wowed every time out... Everytime the bar is raised, the hobby changes a bit... With so much coming out, we van afford to be much more selective too.
