Why would they do that ? They are marketing an exclusive and they just as easily didn’t have to offer singles of either character .

The Exclusive set had an fixed ES of 999 from the start. Both stand alone statues worked with the old MTO system. The stand alone statues was an offer after they showed the set with fixed ES.
They never know how many from the stand alone would be sold.

At least 350 people wanted it lol. I am very happy they offered the stand alone, I didn't want Lady Death.

Exactly the same with me. It's not that I don't think lady death is a great statue, she looks awesome... Just no attachment to the character and at these prices, I really need to love them.
I passed on the EX because of that but leaped on the stand alone version, very happy I did.

I do, and 345 other collectors do.
I couldn't care less about Lady Death and although having no switch outs for Thanos was a bit disappointing but it doesn't bother me in the buying decision. I needed a 1/4 scale Thanos in my collection and I felt this is the one when I saw it in person.
