man, i tell ya- i'd love to take on wesker, just like that.
nice museum pose, perhaps holding a gun behind his back... would be cool as the day is long.
it's all about that woven texture, though.
it's on the entire outfit and it would be a nightmare from sculpt and to paints to reproducing in china.
i'd almost say for certain that it'd have to be just painted gloss black coming out of china. there's no way on god's green earth that we'd see every other square in the weave being black, then the gunmetal color.
so i suppose that's another thing up for debate- are people still going to want the statue if it can only be painted black?
i think about the how's and why's quite often.
i'm just not sure how it could get done.
the amount of time it would take to sculpt by hand, in and out of all the wrinkles, would be absolutely prohibitive to say the least.
i think what i'd honestly have to do, is sculpt it digitally, providing a texture map is available for such a woven texture. i haven't looked too hard yet, but all i've seen is checkered patterns, which are not woven relief textures.
time will tell. cross bridges when coming to them and so on!
