I wonder what the deluxe piece will be? Each of the previous releases so far have had one or many. I was hoping it would be a changeable torso so you could display his archery or his melee with knives. But, because of the scene they chose, the sliding down the stairs on the shield, that eliminates the possibility of melee options. I suppose it may be an alternate screaming head? Though that really doesnt line up with the character at all. He was always cool, calm and stoic. Except for when he flexed on Eomer. Maybe there wont be one at all.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I too would love switchout melee option for him, but doubt we will get it. I imagine they are going to give him the same treatment as Aragorn and just give us a switchout head or 2 with a slight expression change.

Full pics up on Prime 1’s site. On my phone so can’t post. Deluxe option is only an additional hand that has three arrows nocked.

Not sure why they're going with Aragorn and Legolas from two different films. They should have just done the fellowship from the first film.

I have no issue with them doing that. It makes no difference what one they are from unless it is a diorama style where they all are supposed to go together.

To each their own. I would want to display them together and Aragorn with the RotK base would look odd with shield-boarding Legolas from TT, to me.

Probably looking to highlight defining moments for each character. I’d bet money that Gimli will be from the Fellowship, and likely the scene in Ballin’s tomb. There is yet one dwarf in Moria that still draws breath.

That would be my guess. Personally, I would prefer something more reserved and classic looking over Peter Jackson's over-the-top moments. It's not like fans have a lot to pick from in 1:4 scale though.

I’m with you. I also would have preferred a trio look of all three in Moria or the battle of Amon Hen.

Looks like the price is $999, no deluxe edition. The only swichout is the hand with 3 arrows and that is direct store purchase incentive.
