Always grew up living on or near Naval bases; was able to walk down to the sub pens, and actually went on a few dependence cruises on either the Trident (ICBM "Nuke" subs) or the Fast Attack subs.... as well as other ships. Fun childhood. My 10th birthday party my Dad took me and some friends on it for a cake, and a trip around San Diego bay.. thinking back, that must have cost some serious money.

I went on a great cruise on the USS Nimitz also (one of our largest aircraft carriers).. jest takin' off and landing right above me, etc etc... memories you don't forget.

Different world now, though.. I can still get on bases, and still get down to the sub pens (I can, myself, as can my two sisters, but it's easiest if my Mom's with us, since she was his spouse), but those suckers have more security than ever the last ten years (understandably).

Inception-10/10. Psychological/emotional companion-piece to Matrix's philosophical/technological take.
-So I had to finally see Shutter Island-10/10. Brilliant.

Batman - Under The Red Hood ... 9.9/10 ... ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT ... the only thing that was wrong with it was it wasn't live action.

SALT 8/10 - I could watch this woman all day. Does she need any more baby daddys?
