Daredevil #7

Okay, I've always been a Mark Waid fan. He's the most consistently great writer since Stan Lee and Roy Thomas. Even Roger Stern and Ed Brubaker, two of my other favorite writers, had their off days. But Waid? He's the most consistently brilliant comic book writer of the last few decades.

This issue unveils the history of Matt's estranged but always present (since Miller's work, anyway) mother, Maggie. It explains her departure and absence from his life and reunites them in the most beautiful and poignant, not to mention socially relevant, way.

What a great issue.

Bravo.

I've been skipping all these OS tie-in issues for my various pull titles since they're usually garbage. If you say it's that good perhaps I'll add a copy to my inbox

Daredevil, as long as Waid's shepherding him, will always be worth the read. But my post was about thiamine issue in particular.
