Psylocke going back to white.

I thought this was an interesting read, any thoughts?

I don’t have any problems with her being white or Asian. I guess it makes sense that the sister of Captain Britain is white, which is what she originally was. I wonder why they’re doing this now though?

I’m glad to see Betsy-Kwannon is getting less convoluted

But I thought being western woman in Asian body is her allure? That's being said, basically we don't have any statue of psylocke just kwannon.

I bet in this more sensitive climate that there is a politically correct reason behind this change back.

I like the Asian Psylocke. As a person who despises changing characters for the sake of appeasement or/and out of sheer laziness for lack of creating interesting characters, I prefer she remain the Japanese Kwannon. Meh.

Totally agree. Especially for someone as popular as her, the writer should be able to create a new character.

Spoiler
At the end of the issue it's hinted that Kwannon has returned in her original form, sporting psi-knives.

Someone, somewhere will be offended. Being offended is the "in" thing to do these days.

Chris Claremont originally intended Betsy's body to return back to her original British form, but it's another of his long-term plans that was interrupted and placed into arrested development.

Marvel tried to fix things between Betsy/Psylocke and Kwannon/Revanche... but it only further confused things.

Here's hoping they do things better this time and we get two great characters back into play.
