DST Most Wanted Modern Teams
As I understand it, Randy's contract is for the older school characters (60s, 70s, 80s, and maybe 90s but I'm not sure). If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me. So I guess that means Diamond has the contract for the modern takes (although IMO their contract seems more liberal), as evidenced by the upcoming Astonishing X-Men which look great.
That said, which teams/era would you like to see DST take on next assuming they hire good sculptors, stay in scale, come up with cool bases, and design great looking pieces?
1. Uncanny X-Men -- Salvadore Larocca style. Storm, Juggernaut, Havok, Polaris, Bishop (bald), Psylocke, Rogue, Gambit (that's all I can think of)
2. Avengers -- Finch style. Iron Man, Cap, Cage (oh yeah), Spider Woman, Spiderman (I guess one more wouldn't hurt), Sentry, have no idea who the new guy's supposed to be).
3. Ultimate X-Men -- Finch style/leather costumes/ 1/8-scale. Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Iceman (bandana), Storm, Angel, Rogue, Colossus, Wolverine, Magneto, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Polaris (is there an Ultimate Psylocke or other cool characters. Not really familiar with the comic other than the covers).
4. Fantastic Four -- Jim Lee Heroes Reborn Style -- Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Thing, Johnny Storm (blue/red)
5. Exiles -- (don't know the artist) Blink, Nocturn, Morph, Mimic, Thunderbird
Don't know why DST isn't doing this anyway as opposed to just retreading BD.
