If its the lariat pose and the Ultra line, I can only imagine how big and wide grief would be. what worries me would be the price. If I recall, Jerry said he lost $ on the original Zangief.

But I would totally be down for a red Gief as the 3rd EX....

Tbh, there really wasn't much MM in the original anyway. Perhaps his underpants...or whatever the wrestling name is...?

Besides, as fully sculpted he'll be true 1:4 scale.

.
That's true, but he'd be out of scale with the MM line. And I think I'm only collecting MM. (Trying to, at least.)

Even got replacements because my base and some of the scars had issues, when I had the third Zangief in house I realized that all of them might have those problems.

Might be he sold out on SSC faster, but that one I got from a retailor.

We only sold through Sideshow back then.

What probably happened is they ordered it through Sideshow.

Hope it's mixed media, have zero interest in the fully sculpted line.I always loved the real laces on Gief,it gave the statue a nice touch, and worked well since his boots are big.Since there isn't much mixed media on him to begin with, that little part went along way.Tbh hoping for a 1/3 Gief someday soon

Could be lariat indeed.
Which would likely make it fully sculpted (Ultra line) because it's an action pose.
That would be HUGE statue. True 1:4 scale and the width would be the same as the height roughly speaking.

I couldn't have imagined PCS doing this in the past due to cost but I think after the 1:3 statues they are probably feeling more confident.

The head could just be tweaked so beard is flat to chest and less likely to see neck crease.
Maybe switch out heads as suggested, per the norm.

Maybe a fully red EX with a small ES and then everyone can say how they always preferred that colour.....haha

.
I think that this is a case where it's best to have an EX with an extra head and different colors.
