Hard to say. I lean no because part of what defines Peter Parker is his struggles and flaws becoming a hero. He even has said he doesn't have the right answers, he isn't Steve Rogers, he's a man doing his best in the comics.

Part of the whole “worthy” thing is not only about moral character but about if you have what it takes to take on the universal threats in the Marvel universe. Cap can lift the hammer because he has both, Spidey, while being one of the all time “good” guys, doesn’t posses the other part. So I lean towards no as well. Just my opinion.

He made a deal with Mephisto to bring his Aunt May back from the dead by sacrificing his marriage to Mary Jane and by that his future unborn daughter in the One More Day story line (I know it was completely out of character but it happened!)....so absolutely not worthy in my opinion.

I hope not. Too many characters have been able to lift Mjolnir.
I like to think of Mjolnir as being similar to King Arthur's 'sword in the stone'. Thor should be the only person able to lift the hammer.

I agree with that. Much as I like Cap, Thor should be the only one.

I actually believe Cap is more worthy to lift Mjolnir than Thor, as huge a Thor fan as I am.

Cap is my second favorite character ( JUST behind Bats) but IMO things need to be kept sacred in storytelling. If anyone besides Thor (my fourth favorite character) is able to lift Mjolnir it should be someone of a magical nature and associated with Norse mythology and probably someone who is more powerful than Thor. Odin, Bor maybe Balder. There have been too many characters to lift the hammer, certainly Squirrel Girl, Wonder Woman and Storm shouldn’t be on that list. I can however look the other way for Cap and BRB. Anyone lifting Mjolnir from here on out is just a device used in bad/lazy storytelling. IMO.
