gorgeous piece, psylocke is stunning - this is an order waiting to happen

base could have been better, would have been cool to see some danger room drone(s) cut to ribbons laying on the ground but whatevs still a bad ass piece

Really loving everything about this statue. I knew I was already going to order it before the full reveal but man I'm so much more in love with it. I understand some gripes about the base but I like the base, would have liked a sentinel or danger room base also. One of the small things that make this great us the sculpted sash, adds a great touch. Still waiting to se a real good pic of her from behind, but from a distance she looks just as amazing from the back.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I agree..wanted something Danger room related just so she would fit in with the other X-men girls.

I’d love to see this and the old one side by side as well.

I might keep the old one just because I have it already. While I love my X-Men, Psylocke is not the top of my love list like Storm, Gambit, Nightcrawler and Rogue.

The face sculpt is great but it doesn’t quite look like Psylocke to me. She’s a British white woman trapped in a Japanese woman’s body. She should look more Japanese. But this still looks great.

Also, I understand wanting to be more detailed but I could do without the multitude of lines and random textures on all of these X-Men but it’s not too bad here.

That's a decent point, although even the edition size argument around "grails" is overstated.

Plenty of SS pieces coming out today are in the ballpark of older edition sizes (500/1000, 750/1500, etc). It is true that the higher end of the edition size spectrum didn't exist before (they never used to make 5000+ pieces), but again, plenty are in the ballpark, and there were slow sellers in the old days just as there are now.

When you take into account how many more collectors there are now, it's sort of a wash for all but the most extreme examples (original trinity PFs, Vader).

...Looks like cartoon vs. real life, IMO. I still love the OG, but this new one is simply on another level.

Great comparison, Danchez. Thanks for that.

The difference is even more drastic than it was in my head.

I watched that booth tour video like 10 times now and psylocke looks great from the back. I hope they don't pull a rogue with her and reduce the size.
