Am I wasting my time saving for a CM T-X?

I've been putting some aside to justify getting a nice little CM T-X. One came up this week on evilBay and although it had a few flaws I thought I'd treat myself to a personal birthday pressie. I watched it closely each day. I really wanted this one so I was prepared to bid higher than normal. But to my surprise I wasn't even close to being in the ballpark when it closed for $2750. And this from a seller that had no real history of selling this sort of stuff.

It leaves me thinking that I'm wasting my time hoping that I can get a T-X for a reasonable price.

Are there any other sources i.e. dealers that have them? Or is it just that hard to find?

Most comments I've seen regarding that are that the price is a fluke and it's normally around $1500. I can't imagine it being that popular given the warm reception T3 had, so if you really want it, keep trying!

I think it's fair to assume this will now start raising quite dramatically in price as it's becoming increasing more difficult to obtain.
That being said, don't give up hope, there's always a chance one may come along just at the right time and at an affordable price.

Well I'm hoping it was an anomaly as I really want to get a few nice CM pieces and this is actually high on my list. I don't mind paying over retail for it, but not up there in the clouds! I just hope its not too long of a road. I like tracking down my favs, but not going on multi-year treks for them

I believe trilogy is right, I would expect to increase in value from here, it is a very limited piece, believe me bro I am the same boat, want this more now that I cannot have it.

Just be patient.
Sooner or later another piece will be made. Most likely a 1/4scale from Sideshow. Unless, you REALLY want the CM piece. If that's the case, I would just keep saving and looking. You never know one might come up for much less than what you have saved.

Damn diablo, I have been hit by that as well, sell something for $300 and a year later see it going for twice or three times that, my wife has convinced me on the marvel pieces to wait until the movies come out and then sell them, it has proven to work, (shes a genius)
