You know, if I were Sideshow I'd look at all the comments everywhere and go: "Hmm, it might actually be worth spending a little bit more NOW to pay the sculptor to rework the face (and a new paint job, natch), instead of being unable to sell even the Ex of this piece even with

Yes, I'm talking about the Mark Brooks Spidey - it's a spectacular (and amazing
) figure, but its base was universally bashed, and rightly so. Did that deter Sideshow? No, sir. And now apparently they can't sell it, when it should have been a hit. If someone made a decent base for it, I swear I'd go for it. But as it is? Yeesh.
This statue here, though, should be a much easier change than replacing a whole base, but... it's Sideshow - they will never backtrack on their 'vision'.
Don't get me wrong - like I said, even with that questionable face Peter has, the appeal is higher due to everything else, and it will probably sell well. Why should Sideshow change it in the slightest, right?
Anyway, here's hoping for it to be displayed at SDCC to see if it grows on us.
