I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I watched RoboCop and RoboCop 2 on Cinemax a couple of weeks ago. Honestly, I watched it as a kid and it fascinated me. As as adult, its nostalgic and I still like it.

I had no idea that there will be remake of RoboCop, then again, its not surprising.

wasn't Darren Aronofsky going to direct at one point but then pulled out?

Wouldn't surprise me as that seems to be Aronofsky's MO. He was attached to Batman and bailed, then they went with Nolan, thank god. He did the same thing with "The Wolverine" (working title for the sequel) and bailed on that too. Just pick a project and stick with it. Its almost like he gets involved just to market his name and then pulls out like he is above it. I find him pretty annoying myself and after the horrendously overrated Black Swan I question his work as a film maker and find him rather pretentious.

The Fountain is brilliant though. As is Vertigo's adaptation of it. Beautiful art by Kent Williams

Yeah I agree. I'm a big fan of The Fountain as well. Its definitely a love hate relationship with him.

In all fairness neither have I.

I've seen his other 4 films though. The Fountain was great, The Wrestler was good, Requiem for a Dream was meh and Black Swan was god awful.

@joy_division - Oh, Aronofsky bailed out on Robocop and other flicks, that's news to me as well. I did like watching The Wrestler because it did remind of when I actively watched wrestling and seeing veteran wrestlers that really needed to retire yet remain wrestling simply because they needed the money.
