I think the Commando kit is fairly easy to paint up and a fun one at that. The hardest part with some kits are simply the assembly and clean up work to get it ready for paint. But if you enjoy sanding, pinning and putty work...it's a blast! My best advice is take your time and enjoy it. If you decide to pick up a kit and you have any question, just post them up here and you will get answers from several painters to help you along.
ps...hey ickwinz....spidey is on the way.

This kit was sculpted by Formation Designs
http://www.formation-designs.com/
from what I understand, it was retired....BUT! I also understand that KOMA Design picked up the piece and will be producing it. Check with the AMOK Time and ask them if they are getting any in. http://www.amoktime.com

LOL! No worries! The kit is cast in solid resin (very much like the polystone material in pre-paint statues), and the same holds true for most kits that are available these days. You may also find older garage kits that were cast in soft vinyl, but those were mainly done by larger companies like Horizon, Geometric Designs, Volks, Kaiyodo, and such.
Kits do not come with any paint. That's pretty much left up to the modeler to pick up all the materials and such (paint, epoxy adhesive, brass rod (for pinning), paint, dremmel, sand paper, etc...
The hobby can get over whelming and expensive. So take it slow. Pick up a kit and the paints you want to use on that particular piece. As you go along and pick up other kits, you can always pick up more supplies as you need them.
