This is going to be extremely challenging..
The show was the best I've seen in years and it was made possible because it's a a hand-drawn show, I can't imagine how much effort they have to put in to make this movie right.
At least they got a director with some enthusiasm, that's a great start.

The animation of the show isn't the biggest challenge ... how do you condense 30 hours of EXTREMELY complex and interlocking stories into (at most) 6 to 9 hours of live action film?
I've read where all the kids have been cast and they're all now taking martial arts training to teach them the moves for the movies.

No joke, I don't know if it is really that complex but it has a lot going on and like they said in the interview it is hard to not include everything.
And did they metioned trilogy?!?

Nicola Peltz = Katara - adorable
