I always though that Inuits had a darker skin tone, but maybe I am wrong,
Regardless, for me it is about the acting and matching the character in that sense.

My vet laughed his ass off when he found out our dog was named Katara, he knew EXACTLY where the name came from, his kids are Avatar fanatics too, and got him hooked on the show.
I'm telling you, once you get wrapped into the story, this show is like a drug.
And the ending ... WOW!!!

I'm surprised M.Night would tie himself up with this for the next 6 years.
I guess his last couple films didn't do too well so he decided to go with someone else's creation.

gotta go with Rider... Eskimo's, like the Water Tribe in the Arctic, are often darker skin due to the sun reflecting from the Arctic snow.
they dont have to be asian, just someone with Darker skin.
but for the record the show was created with an asian influence for culture, martial arts and the elements...

i got to agree... this is something I just hate... I could live with the actor playing Ang but because the main characters are from different tribes & parts of the world ... maybe a little diversity wouldn't be such a bad thing....
In my opinion Zukko needs to be asian, why not?
Everyone always has to be blonde & blue eyed.... when are film studios & producers gonna get it, hey kids are still gonna flock to this even if an actors skin tone is different from theirs.... we're not in the 60's anymore... Hell, we do have a black president now....
