A good design is a good design, regardless of the quality of the film it's in.

yes I was thinking the same. I'm sure just the characters alone is ok for some. But it sure would help if the movie is very awesome. So far it looks really good from the previews. Hopefully it will not dissapoint.

My exact reason for not getting the AVP:R legendary scale Wolf Predator back then. Sure it's a grail piece, but an infinitely crap movie.

At these prices? Nah, I have to love that thing in more than an aesthetics level, but to each his own.

Well since the source material apparently has to be good in order to justify any sort of purchase, I hearby announce that I will only buy expensive statues from oscar winning films and pulitzer winning comics.

I still like the look of the Batman Forever outfit, but if someone made an expensive statue of that film, I wouldn't buy it for various reasons. For example, Prime 1 did an amazing job with the Michael Bay turtles, but no matter how well made they are, the source material isn't good enough for me to justify a purchase.

Oh, and Oscar winning movies are not always good movies.

This.

Also, nobody has to justify their purchase to anyone but themselves. However, some of us have more boxes to check on the purchase criteria box than just "it looks good".

Personal way of collecting and all that. Everyone can do whatever they want and they are free to not get offended also.

@epithaph04

Look, I was just speaking for myself. If you only care about the look of the statue regardless how good or bad the actual movie is, more power to you.

I'm joking, bro. I'm only using that against the argument that supposedly only good movies can justify expensive collectibles. The predator franchise has produced some of the more expensive statues I've seen, yet they're pretty schmaltzy, dumb films in the grand scheme of things, even if I do love the first two and enjoy the rest to a certain degree.

BvS will probably bomb, and the usual forum and comic book crowds will ---- on it no matter what, but MAN do I love this batman statue and design. It looks incredible to me. Unless BvS goes full Batman Forever on us, I will most likely be making (a lot) of room for this piece, plus their future Bale 1/2 scale piece.
