Paint Repair

Hello! Recently, I had purchased a couple of fine art statues online (more specifically Wolverine and Colossus of DRS). These came in with several paint chips and was wondering if anyone was able to recommend anyone who specializes in paint repair. I know there are artists out there that commission custom paint jobs for statues but was wondering if there are artists out there that will run commissions for paint chip repairs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I took an IQ test and the results were negative.

I thought about this too when I first started collecting, but after watching some of the "how to" videos online, decided to give it a shot and all my repairs turned out pretty well.

Since then, I've repaired paint chipping on my Captain America Reborn and Colossus DRS, reattached broken deadpool sword, and reattached broken psylocke drs sentinel finger.

It was nerve racking at first, but I think if youbtake your time, results can be positive.

Just an FYI, I've been usung Tamiya paint (glossy and flat) depending on application and lighten and darken to match

Check Vince-Vell's videos on youtube. He has some of the best DIY tutorial videos out there. He goes by VinceVellCUSTOMS.

Yea, I definitely watched a bunch of his videos. Patching and sanding the problematic area has definitely made my repairs smoother and less noticeable. And pinning broken extremities helps for a sturdier fix!

I do repairs, as well as full painting. I don't normally look in this particular forum but did just now, for some reason. I can send samples of my work. You can email me at astounding@fuse.net .
