Rogue & Gambit Statue Diorama (2024)

I like it. I'm a sucker for fish out of water/casual day look pieces over the Hulk smash stuff. Would I prefer it in 1:4 sure. The base is interesting. I like the flow of the cards. Sculpted jackets. I like how there are no forced lines, pleats or changes to the costumes. I'm big on the 90's animated show and I feel this is close enough to that smoothness especially Rogues outfit and lines without the modernization of the Maquette (which I like) and the blah-ness of the XM piece. Sometimes simple can be better. I like Gambits goofy face. It adds sincerity and fun to the piece.

Outside of a custom or unlicensed I doubt anyone's going to do something like this. The Rogue Maquette EX was $715. Folks are going to have to decide if the increase is worth it.

Yeah, her mouth looks a little goofy. And Rogue's eyes are a bit googly, the right eye seems to be looking too far to the right. Aside from that, it's a cool piece.

Ah screw it! I'm disappointed that it's not 1/4, but I like it ... I'm going to get this. I like the body sculpt on both. I also like the portraits. And I like that they're both floating.

I'll gather more RPs. Then use a discount code + RPs to lower the price when I pre-order.

This could/should have been such a no-brainer purchase. Now my brain is debating?which doesn?t need to happen to drop $750 on a statue if I really love it.

Cuteness like this is going to sell, even if it isn't 1/4th, wonder if this will get a bigger ES than the Batman/Catwoman or Superman/Louis.

Rogues face does look a little awkward, but don't think it overall takes away from what its intended "cute hero couple dio". Not for me as I prefer my X-men statues looking like they are about to kick butt.
