Became a Grandfather Today!
My 31 year old step-son and his lovely lady had a beautiful and healthy baby boy today. Don't have birth stats yet but will post them along with pics when I can. Baby's name is Cole, though.
While technically he's my step-son he's been with me since he was 6, when his mom and I married and we've had a father/son relationship since. So, he thinks of me as his Dad and I think of him as my son. Sadly, his relationship with his natural father has never been good.
We're ecstatically happy and I just wanted to share with my forum family.

I held him in my arms today and couldn't believe the love that washed over me. It's been 29 years since I held an infant and just can't believe what a special feeling it is.

As I have said, "A grandchild fills a hole in your heart you never knew was there". I remember that feeling a little over 7 years ago when Persia was born. A feeling only matched when my kids were born and I have that same feeling every time I see her.
