Carnival of Souls 7.5/10

Spooky and creepy movie from the early 60s. Music was fitting and set the tone for the whole movie. More Twilight Zone-esque than horror but worth a watch if you appreciate old movies.

Quicksilver, if you're new to the Amicus Horror Antholgy stuff, they're all quite good. Each movie centers around a central situation, & we see the folk's involved individual scare-stories unfold, finally tying together at the last minute. Here's a list, in order of release -

Dr. Terror's House of Horrors
Torture Garden
The House That Dripped Blood
Tales From The Crypt
Asylum
The Vault of Horror
From Beyond The Grave

I love them all with Beyond being my favorite.
Im mostly new to the Amicus stuff, but im definitely interested, I absolutely love anthology horror, and If I find one I dont have ill typically get it for the collection. From the list you mentioned the only ones i've seen and own are tales from the crypt/vault of horror, they released a dvd combo that had both of the movies together a few years ago. Its been a really long time since i've seen them though, I dont remember much, I think a rewatch is in order when from beyond the grave arrives! After that ill take a look at the others from your list, thank you for all the great recommendations!

edit - I think I might pickup from beyond the grave on bluray, it just came out a short while ago, and the cover art is beautiful

The Heiress (1949) - 8.5/10

Some really great acting by Olivia de Hallivand.

I only watched the cinema cut and really liked it, still have it in mind one week after. This has so many layers of view.
Since you have watched both, which one is better? Director's cut or cinema?

PS: I have the french blu ray edition in pre-order, it will contain the DC.

No worries, I didn't hate it or anything. I've certainly watched a lot worse. Going to try to watch Midsommar tonight

I need to see that. Meant to catch it in theaters, but never got around to it.
