So, What Are We Grilling & Drinking This Long Holiday Weekend?

Figured we could use this thread for all the long, warm weekends ahead.

Last night I grilled a couple racks of Baby Back Ribs along w. some NY Strips.

Made Blueberry Cosmopolitans, recipe follows -

For 2 cocktails (It's an easy to remember 4,3,2,1 cocktail)
4 oz vodka
3 oz Ocean Spray Blueberry Cocktail (It's new)
2 oz Triple Sec
1 oz fresh lime juice
Shake w/ ice and strain into cocktail glasses, garnish w/ blueberries in the glass or a lime wedge.

Tonight Hillshire Farm Bratwurst, blanched in a 50/50 water/beer boil for a few minutes. Cold Miller High-Life brews to wash it all down.

That sounds amazing! What's the grill time on that? & do the shrimp overcook on account of the bacon cooking time? Finally, what size shrimp & do you peel 'em at home?

shrimp 16/20 or 21/25. if you wrap the bacom tight it insulates the shrimp from cooking too fast but you can cook the bacom a little before you wrap the shrimp

Double Cooked Shortribs. Braised in beer and then grilled the next day over mesquite. Amazing!

Will be drinking Red Zins with them. This will be on Sunday!

Tomorrow its Brats and artisanal micro brews. Not that I am trying to be fancy. I just want to try a few things I haven't yet tried!

I will let you know what they are when I get back from picking them up!
