I hear you, man, but the OA community at large doesn't feel the same way. I wish more people did feel the way you do, but unfortunately, that's not the case by and large. They may say it is, but it's not. As far as historical value, that's a big factor too in OA. One of the greatest motivators for OA collectors is nostalgia. Since many current OA collectors grew up in the 60's 70's and some in the 80's, that's the stuff they're nostalgic for. That equals big money. That's another area an artist like Byrne benefits, because he's one of the most significant artists of the 70's and 80's. He's got great talent and that nostalgic factor which allows him to command top dollar. He's more than earned it
