Just curious.....why didn't you post these gripes in the thread over at Byrne's board, instead of here?

Because these are my people and my friends. I don't belong to the boards over there. When I have something to say I say it here.

Plus, I think it'd be kind of tacky to blast Byrne on his own forum. That would be rude and unnecessary.

Not trying to be snarky, but you are a big enough fan of the man to pay that kind of money for a commission, but not to join or post on his board?

You can like the art but still not want to post on his forum.
Doesn't make you any more or any less of a fan either way.

And this is yet another reason I Have not gotten a Byrne Commission Sorry but his rates are WAY over priced and the Quality Lacks for the price, At least you did not pay upfront, I recently had to ask an artist to gimme part of my money back he left out one of the characters in my commission and quote" Oh yeah sorry I forgot to put Nightwing in it BUT hey it's a good piece" Not gonna tell any names but he's a big name artist and oh lets see I paid for Nightwing it was in the specifics of the piece but oh to bad I did not get him in the piece WTF makes me wanna stop gettin commissions ok maybe not yet LOL

Without question 1,800 is a lot for a comic page of original artwork.
But in terms of quality some of the commissions I've seen from Byrne are really spectaclar and I'm sure would sell well on the secondary market.
