It's worth it if it's your thing. I would pay alot for first Spider-Woman, or She-Hulk. Unfortunatly the She-Hulk #1 cover was colored badly....ARGHHHH why do people color original art.

This piece isn't about Batman.

Yeah, I hate colored OA. I've had a few chances to buy Gil Kane covers that were colored. There seems to be alot of his pieces hand colored out there. Why? Whhhyyyyyyyy!!!?

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Yep, and it looked god awful.. It sold a few years ago on Ebay for around $7,000. If it was not colored being John Buesema, and a first appearance. I would have guessed it would be $15k or above.

Someone was a fool; if they want a coloured copy they should buy the colour try outs and not ruin the original; I'd love to know where Sensational S-H #1 is as well.

Sadly, for some collectors, 27k to them is like 27 cents to us. I've (drooled over) seen collections that look like they're worth over a $million. I suppose we should be thankful these collectors are few and far between otherwise it would be near impossible to get any art at a reasonable price...

Well since you asked me specifically , I think it was a fad at the time and I don't think people knew the value of the untouched art. I still see colorists at cons, but mostly coloring sketches which can be OK depending on the art.
