The Phantom from Dynamite Entertainment
http://latestphantomnews.blogspot.co...s-phantom.html
Here is a first look at Phantom from the upcoming comic series from Dynamite Entertainment.
To get updates on all things Phantom and Mandrake, join Chronicle Chamber's Phantom Phan Page on Facebook. You can also follow CC on Twitter.
In the coming days CC will be posting an exclusive interview with writer Scott Beatty in regards to this new comic.
As for the teaser image some fans have speculated DE seems to be going for shock value, but we have to wait and see how all this revelation fits into the storyline. Most Phans know Phantom's eyes have never been shown in the comics and from the looks of it his eyes appears to be visible, I maybe wrong. So why did DE choose to break this tradition and how King Features Syndicate allowed this to happen is something I am curious about. Also the costume seems different, though it is hard to distinguish as he seems to be covered in something, paint or blood perhaps.

Interesting! I like it, but that ain't the Phantom.
Surprising that Moonstone lost the license. I guess the owners figure they can get more $$$ with Ross involved. However, considering the amount of crap Alex Ross has lent his name to over the last few years, I'm not likely to give this a shot.

Looks pretty cool, if you ask me. I'm in for kick-off, let's see if Dynamite can keep me. The Phantom can be altered and updated in interesting ways, that's been proven. I loved the short-lived cartoon, Phantom 2040 and the comic books that came out of the show were damned good, as I recall. As long as they stay true to the character and don't go so hog-wild for shock's sake they forget the original fans (Green Hornet's update overstepped the boundaries, from what I gathered), I have high-hopes. The Ghost Who Walks is just one of those characters I want to see succeed, always.

Naaa, that was just reference art from my Phantom 2040 reference. Has nothing to do w/ the new series.

It's pretty I intense, actually. I like it but would also like more of the traditional Phantom.
