This is truly incredible work of a very high level. The details are amazing. Skillful use of paints and a realistic appearance. I would definitely want to have it in my collection.

Of course, you have great experience now, but I want to ask. What technique did you use to achieve the skin color in this sculpture? Maybe it has a very long story, but I would be very happy if you could give me some information and tell me the paints you used.

Congratulations again, it's amazing.

When doing commissioned work, the customer expects a result So I leave it as a hobby

The truth is I always try something different for the skin color because I haven't found the right recipe yet. It's always a bit of trial and error.

I also took a new path with Sonja. But with Sonja I had the best result so far with the least trial and error

1. Black Primer
2. White from above (Look in post #399)
Now you have highlights and shadows
3. Base: Acrylic Pro Flesh Tan (diluted and very thin coats)
4. Shadow: Acrylic Pro Shadow Flesh (diluted and very thin coats)
5. Highlights: Acrylic Pro Pale Pink (diluted and very thin coats)

Points 3, 4 and 5 alternate. If you have too much shadow, you lighten it up again. And whenever it looks good but the whole thing is not finished, secure it with Varnish.

Take your time. No rush

Everything with the airbrush and with little pressure

Thank you very much for the information you gave. Yes, you are very right about patience. Sometimes I don't get the results I hope for because I want the project to be finished immediately.

I have been thinking about the Air Brush for a long time, I will buy a good one.

Thank you very much again.

Ripley and Newt are finished
Here's a quick photo. I will photograph the whole statue as soon as possible.

Thank you very much.

The next Red Sonja statues are already in the works.

A few photos of Ripley and Newt
It was a lot of work but I'm really happy to finally have them both in my collection.
