Tomb Raider (reboot)

A much better part than any of Angeline Jolie. It's very nice to watch.
I loved the fact that although she did not have superhuman abilities - based her experience on her skills, not like her predecessor on equipment and ripped items. The belt on which there were items for each occasion in each crate. This version is closer to the original game and more enjoyable to watch.

Alicia Vikander did a great job as Lara but I found the story a bit lacking. I'm not sure why. Maybe the movie used some of the first game's action scenes and I was expecting more.

I hope the next movie is not based on Rise of the Tomb Raider.

I thinking doing an original story away from the video games would help it at the box office... Tomb Raider was dismal domestically with around $57 million, the only thing that saved it was overseas where it make around $216 million..

It was meh as expected. It seems all the good writers are making video games and TV series these days and the amateurs are writing these average scripts. Hell even the games have a better pacing.

I enjoyed it despite issues it had especially early on. I'd be fine with her in a sequel.

I liked the movie, despite being a little long on lead up and a little short on tomb raiding. Alicia did a great job. I guess the origin route was hoping to draw in more people that hadn't seen the other movies or played the games. A sequel would be better able to focus on Lara's extended abilities as opposed to following her father.
