"The Dark Knights of Steel comic series presents a captivating, medieval take on the DC Universe with the arrival of the Els by spaceship from their doomed planet, Krypton. In this storyline, Kal-El becomes the prince of a medieval kingdom, having survived the trip to earth together with his parents, who would come to befriend King Thomas and Queen Martha, kicking off a cascading sequence of events amidst a warring feud between kingdoms!

XM will be giving a unique twist to this series by providing collectors with the option to collect the original comic look and an alternative costume developed by the XM creative team. Building on top of the existing design in the comics, this look features characters like Kal-El in heavy medieval armour, complete with XM?s unique take on styling in tandem with the actual comic storyline.

Is this an original statue or based off some stupid crap from the comics?

Appears to be most of column B with a little bit of column A sprinkled in. 1 version based off the 12 issue comic run that started in nov 2021 that is a medieval based DC storyline. 1 ver that will feature more xm creativity/design

Series started out fun, it was something different. But over a year and half for 12 issues (and it?s STILL not finished)? This is why I don?t read comics unless it?s an omnibus, I hate those every other week or every other month releases. By the time you get the next issue you don?t remember what the hell the last issue was about lol.

I’m not against these alternate takes. I mean, people seem to be ok with Prime 1 making any and every version of Batman, it’s not a problem when other companies want to do the same, ie sideshow’s plethora of Spidey PFs at the moment, Samurai Batman, the other Batman XM had planned that I guess has been cancelled by now, etc.

Same time…this before Nightwing? Damian? John Stewart? Shazam? Hawkman? Black Canary? Joker (standard comic version)? Harley (standard comic version)? Aquaman? That’s my only question.

I agree, XM seems more interested in esoteric versions of popular characters than making any B or C tier characters.

I'd be curious if even Superman fans really care about this iteration.
