Pros: costume looks good so far. Mostly classic and straight forward lines, I?m very surprised they didn?t do more
Cons: what?s up with the sideburns and chin bush? It?s weird choices like this that make me question what references they?re looking at when they add weird elements to characters.

Agree they better have 2-3 swap outs, actually prefer them not do any facial hair. Rather have the sinister grin portrait clean shaven.
I'm watching closely XM, do a little clean up and i'll PO.

Just came in to see how happy some people are
I’m sure there will be many portraits. What I’m sad to see gone is the high boots, but I also know that in some designs they were there and others they were not.
My real question is, what’s with the base? Is that a destroyed Manson or a danger room tendril?

It seems this may be the look they're going for.

Explains a lot (shape of the collar, shape of the belt, layers of the cape, facial hair, lack of boots)....

Why are most poses one leg up bent? Not feeling it.

I looked through my XMen comics when I saw this and they are for sure going the more modern style of his outfit. They need to make the slices of his cape higher.
To this day I always wonder about his suit design. Like what was the intention? And who approved it? Who said “let me create a evil genetic manipulating villain that dresses like Elton John/Liberace. People will love him and he will have this iconic style for decades. I feel it!” Marvel approval - sold!!

If he's different yet awesome enough, I may triple dip this character in 1/4 scale. He's going to have to be pretty awesome though for me to get past the lack of the iconic thigh high boots.

I see, tho most people don't want as super modern look when it comes to sinister, they want the clean shaven evil grin look. If they want to do 2-3 portraits tho then folks can decide.
I just hope the base isn't super crazy like most XM bases. Don't need a stupid heavy base to add to the shipping cost.

dude is this yours?
this is a really cool piece. i LOVE the simple base. i am literally obsessed with it.
I think a nice classy simple base on a non-action pose statue is the way to go. i'm not a fan of the storytelling base trend on large-scaled museum posed on statues. I like envorinoment bases, but storytelling bases to me are kinda elementary and unnecessary for someone spending thousands on a statue.
