Preach it Nick.

Region coding, or the lack thereof, was the reason I supported HD DVD over BD in the format wars. I still have a handful of HD DVD imports and copies of certain titles that either aren't available in the US on BD or are just flat out better presentations than their BD counterparts.

I have the German Import of Brotherhood of the Wolf on HD DVD or I'd be right there with you on that one.

The Secret of Nimh is already on BD. I know cuz I own it.
Ah.. I need to pick that up, then.
I still have "Brotherhood.." on a Special Edition (if I recall correctly) dvd...
But yeah, The Black Hole needs to be produced. Great plot, great music, Anthony Perkins, Robert Forster, Ernest Borgnine.. the list of stars goes on and on! Fantastic film.
My Dad read the book with me on his knee in the late '70's into a tape recorder, so I could read along in the book (as a four year-old ) while he read via the tape, while he was keeping our world safe in his sub; movie has special meaning to me.

Just thought of another film I was remiss in including on my list.... Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story. Love that film.

and here is a guilty pleasure film I'd add in a heartbeat...Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man.

They're not what you would call 'quality' movies, but they're all good fun
There are a bunch of movies titled "The Hidden." Which actors or what year is the one on your list?

Also, how do you like your ribs?

I assumed he was talking about the 1987 film.

Great eighties sci-fi with a kick ass sound track as well.

Just picked up The Golden Compass for $7.99 and The Rocketeer for $15.00 at Target. Really suprised there were no special features on this so called 20th Anniversary disc.

On eBay I picked up all 3 Narnia films for $35.00, Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland for $12.99, and the Avatar Extended Edition for $27.25. All Like New.

Nice pick ups Pat.

Thanks for the heads-up on The Rocketeer too. I've been waiting for a price drop on that one and it hasn't happened. Looks like I'm making a trip to Target tomorrow because $15 is the price point I was waiting for.

I should have mentioned, I got Rocketeer with a Target coupon for 25% off all Disney DVD's. It was in one of the recent Target flyers.

It's a pity they didn't produce more of those Golden Compass movies.
