reaper maquette no.86 has arrived safely! finished work late so only had time to quickly unbox him. impressions? honestly, I'm blown away absolutley AWESOME piece. The reaper has always been one of my favourite creatures so this was always high on my want list. I just had a hard time justifying that price tag but I managed to get it brand new for more or less it's original retail of $2k (including shipping) I think this was pretty much one of the last ones in the uk in stock also. Now though after seeing it in person I've got to say that price tag is pretty much justified, now I've owned a fair few pieces in my collecting life but I would say this has by some margin the best paint app I've ever seen! it really does look alive and real, and it's way better in person than any pics show. The skin has real depth to it and the mouth area looks like it really is wet and you'd get blood on your finger if you'd touch it
