Very true. I was only referring to his film score. I realize those reflect an opinion as well, but when I see a movie score I see film a critique. Movie critics should criticize a film at an objective level. If there are personal opinions they should be noted as well, but those opinions do not change whether or not a film works on a particular level. Suggesting Prometheus is a film worthy of a 2/10 score implies the movie hardly works on any level at all.

If I hadn't seen the movie myself and I saw a score like that I would think some of the following occured:

-Poorly directed
-Poorly acted
-Poor editing
-Poor musical score
-Poor special effects
-Poor pacing
-Poorly scripted
-Poor cinematography
-Poor makeup
-Poor costume design
-Poor set design
-Poor art design

If it's in the movie, name it, and it's done poorly. Is that right? Perhaps if it was rated 2/10 and the poster stated that nothing, absolutely NOTHING worked for them.... then who could argue? Nothing worked for them. But no. Just a 2/10 and "this movie sucked". Sorry, that is amusing to me.

Again, this is just my own opinion.

As for the discussion of Prometheus, I found this article which compiles a lot of quotes from Ridley and Lindelof. They address all of the big questions the movie had to offer.

A very interesting read:

Really enjoyed it.

One question just popped into my head as Predator was on last night.
Does Prometheus void the Aliens V Predator movies as the "Aliens" won't be created hundreds of years after Predators arrive on earth?

IE how can a queen be under Antarctica when process to create them doesn't start until the late 2100s??

Why couldn't it fit in? Carbon dating showed that the engineers on the ship died 2000 years ago and there was already an Alien relief shown on the wall so it could be speculated that the Xenomorphs have existed/were created even before then. The Xenomorph at the end of the movie isnt necessarily the first to have ever existed. This movie could just be showing one possible chain of how they can come about.

There is some decent meat there to kick around but I needed them to accompany that with characters that could sell the dramatic gravity of such discoverys and concepts.
