I don't know guys, I loved the sculpt when they showed the print but the paint isn't that impressive IMO. I need to see some better pics that aren't washed out, and we need to see the head sculpt.

I want to love this but so far I'm underwhelmed with the lack of contrast on the paint. hope that changes when we get some hi res pics from the front of the statue.

I would have preferred a little less modern looking suit for my personal tastes, but that's not to say I don't like and appreciate the modern look. I think the key will be the portraits sealing the deal.

Anyone else excited this appears to be a "small" XM base?? Hooray lower shipping cost!! Hooray less display space needed!!!
Well it fits the statue and nothing wrong with this being on the smaller end of bases. Moon Knight is the same way...except that massive cape kind of eats up space on its own.

I think it would go a long way if you had samples of painted artwork...to convey to XM what it is that is not resonating with you. Everything I have seen from the comics Scorpion looks pretty simple or two...maybe three tones of green. The XM statue appears to have even more than that.

Is there a release calendar or a lineup for when statues are planned for release? Excited for this Scorpion, Rhino and Doc Ock and hopefully Shocker! I wonder how many of us statue collectors work overtime or second job just to compensate for our statue addiction??

No calendar since the new XM Studios website is up. They are aware we asked for it since a few months but we've seen no move in that way from their side until now. The only thing we know is that you can expect to see a statue in hands 4 or 6 months after PO has started ( sometimes only 3)

This piece rocks. I think I would actually use the armor plated chest with the classic portrait. I love the look of the armor.

That's exactly what I'm planning to do. In addition to the classic tail.
