I'm seriously considering this but ever since the Aliens APC thing and the price they asked for it...I have my doubts.

It looks great, likeness is spot on but the expression just looks, well, expressionless. I reckon you'd be hard pushed to find a scene with a pose combined with expression like that in either movie.

still with all that I am considering it cos I need to have these guys in my collection, gah!

Do you really need to ask yourself that? To be fair, it wouldn't require that much of a touch up if it did arrive poorly.

I'm still staying clear away from it myself for now, but the price isn't bad for a 1/4 at this detail, and the base is very nice. I may pick it up at a discounted rate at my local LCS down the road, if no other company produces Ghost busters peices.

Personally though, I would suggest that everyone stay away from it until it's actually released and judge from a released paint-up before committing, as there is no rush to invest in this. Despite the exclusive being pretty cool, I'm still positive this won't sell out, giving HCG's track record of poor production and customer service.

1) you guys are judging this piece based on the prototype which was painted by silent surfer - one of the best painter in the business.

2) HCG is horrible...absolutely horrible..when it comes to human faces. Just look at their production pieces. (Their strength is large props and vehicles)

3) I can guarantee the paint app on the production pieces will be a horror show. Unless you plan to spend another grand to have silent surfer repaint it for you.

Love the character, excellent sculpt, but easy pass due to zero confidence in hcg.
